Eric Clapton - MCI Center

Washington, D.C. - April 16, 1998 - Geetarz 239 - DVD-R1

Geetarz Comments:

Filmed from about 45 degrees off Stage Left, this is a really nicely tripod shot audience video. The sound is good but not great, and distorts a bit on the transients - this should be a future candidate to be synced (i.e. Karlheinzed) with the excellent DAT audio recording of this performance. This was EC's first performance at the newly-constructed MCI Center in downtown D.C. Of note, EC's daughter, Ruth, was hanging out with her dad as she was on Spring Break from school that week, and is in frame most of the show on Nathan's left, dancing along with the show. DVD sourced from 2nd generation VHS, obtained directly from the taper, and authored with full motion menus and Dolby Digital 2.0 audio. Artwork by Kream, @2009./p>
