Comments: Nice compilation. Begins with a phone interview with EC. The show is an average audience recording, fairly close to the PA but unfortunately with lots of near crowd noise and a bit "boomy" so it's difficult to listen to at times. Some overload distortion on the master tape, which is particularly unwelcome. Following a nice hot solo in "Cocaine", entertainment to the CD listener is provided by an ugly "sit down" exchange in the vicinity of the taper, which really brings out the "concert feel" . With the problems this recording exhibits earier on, it's all redeemed by a simply beautiful performance of "Layla", EC's guitar work is flowing and molten, really one of the best performances ever of the song. The rest of the show is merely "ok" performance-wise, but "Layla" alone is worth the price of admission.

SIT DOWN!
