East Wes (fades out) Line-up: Eric Johnson - Guitar, Vocals Kyle Brock - Bass Tommy Taylor - Drums Notes: I was loaned these tapes from Kent Miller (very much appreciated),who at the time knew the soundman who recorded these 2 Eric Johnson soundboards.Kent said that at the time the soundman had a new dat recorder so I am assuming that he copied these tapes from his dat.If not I will say that these are at least 2nd generation at best. They do sound terrific however.I transfered them using my Sony TC-WR950 Stereo Cassette Deck and also azimuth adjusted each side of the cassette for optimal sound.I noticed the tapes ran a tad bit slow so I speed corrected them in CEP.I applied no eq at all to these.I only amplified the volume a bit to the optimal level. These sound absolutely great. The '89 soundboard sounds a tad better probably because it seemed to be mixed better. The is a small cut due to a tip flip in Cliffs Of Dover from the '90 soundboard but it's not to noticeable. Both soundboards seem to be incomplete though as Eric mentions he is gonna play a Hendrix song before Politician and it then fades out during the Cream cover.I'm also sure the '90 soundboard is not complete either. Both of these shows seem to be uncirculated so it is my pleasure to unleash these great shows to you.Once again thanks to Kent for loaning me his tapes and for his patience in waiting for the return of them. Also thanks to Nephronic for the killer artwork. ****Enjoy and trade freely. Please do not sell these recordings.Encode to lossy formats for personal use only. Please preserve the quality****
