Eric Clapton sat in with the house band on NBC's "Late Night With David Letterman" show on May 8, 1985. There was no interview segment, although the host did speak briefly with EC. Reportedly, upon prodding by the band, this was the first time EC had played "White Room" since the disbanding of Cream in 1968.
