Eric Clapton - The Lost Isreal Tapes
Jerusalem, Isreal - October 29, 1979 - CD-R2 - Aud 3
NOTE: My friends (and non-friends): whether you think '79 was a great performing year or just a so-so year, you GOTTA get this show. You won't believe your ears at the quality from a tape 28 years old! I was offered the tape and there was only 1 person to whom I would give it to...ML13. He did all the hard work, toiling for hours, wetting his pants, he couldn't believe what he was hearing. ML's wife was so worried about him, she called the 'nut police'. When they came and heard the tapes, the nut jacket was placed on the wife and they sat down for some of ML13's famous coffee. Disc 1: 1. If I Don't Be There By Morning 2. Worried Life Blues 3. Lineage: Aud>?>TDK SA90 Cassette>CD WAV>Flac Frontend Level 6 OUTSTANDING RECORDING FOR THE TIME PERIOD!!!!!!!!! RATING: A VERY STRONG AUD 5+ Tourography:According to Mark Roberty's book, "The Complete Chronicle", there was only one show in Jerusalem on October 27. There exists a tape claimed to be recorded on October 29 in Jerusalem. During this tour Eric used to play (at least) two concerts in several cities, so it's not unlikely that he performed two shows in Jerusalem, too. The happening of this October 29 concert is solely based upon the audience recording which, of course, may be originated from the October 27 show, being labeled incorrectly.
