Geetarz Comments:
The typical Mid Valley quality touch is obvious in this reissue of the earlier Empress Valley title. As a performance note, check out EC's slide work on "Stormy Monday" and it's clear that EC's skills as a guitar player have grown tremendously since then. It's become almost cliche to refer to any earlier performances as being better than later output (no matter which artist) but this is a great example that many of these artists really do get better as time passes.
