Eric Clapton and his band were invited to perform on "Saturday Night Live" during it's 15th season. This DVD captures the band's rehearsals earlier in the day as they run through their selections so the crew can plan out their camera shots and blocking. It also features raw footage from the recording of the promos, which are unintentionally hilarious as they show an unhappy, tense side of the production that's often talked about but rarely seen. To round off the disc we have the performances as broadcast, live. A nice improvement over the more common VHS Sourced versions of higher generation.



PLEASE NOTE: There are conflicting dates listed for this performance. Some sources show it as March 24, 1990; others as April 1, 1990. The Slowhand Tourography has for many years ignored repeated requests to list this, and many other performances, for reasons unknown. All indications are that the date shown on the DVD title screen is likely incorrect, and that the performance did take place on March 24, 1990. The future will hopefully bring a new version of this DVD with a corrected title date, as well as higher quality footage of the broadcast should they become available.
