You're just noticing now? Some of us figured this out 30+ years ago.

a few guitars covered with signatures. He probably signed one of these.

Hi,

Blues and beer weekend approaching! (again)
Just got the new Hyde Park DVD so can't wait to check it out over the
weekend. I'm hoping the DD5.1 will be as good as the MSG Crossroads DVD.
Will let you all know on Monday.....

Also, just got the DVD of the 1987 Princes Trust Concert... Never realised
EC played a sunburst Les Paul during that gig, on the track "While My Guitar
Gently Weeps" with George Harrison. Very nice!

Cheers!
Elliot

I think his wife is also celebrating a milestone birthday. Didn't she just
turn 21? (lol)

According to the VH1 site, the concert will be rebroadcast on CBS on October
31. There is a link to the CBS site, but it doesn't give any information.
Hopefully, they will update it soon.
Here is the link:

WOLF asked:
<< I think they tried to space aging rockers with hot young things. The WHO
got twice as much stage time as anyone else save Sir Paul. Why? >>

In his web diaries at www.petetownshend.com, Pete says:
"The Who rehearsed last night in New York, Roger was late flying in and
missed that warm up. We have two more full run-throughs today, but are
playing just four songs, around 25 minutes. We want to give our best. There
are 18 artists on the bill, and many of them will have less than 5 minutes to
make their mark, and offer their energies. For The Who there is no point
trying to do anything at all in five minutes, the magic takes longer than
that. If it is that special magic that's needed, and not just our presence,
then we will need the time."

My personal beef - did they *really* have to sandwich EC's set right in
between Destiny's Child and The Backstreet Boys? At least they kept a little
continuity by following up The Who with some other aging rockers (Mick and
Keith... lucky them) .

Cheers, Janet
