Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I've noticed in a bunch of photos taken of EC playing the Martin 000-28EC acoustic, where he has a strap on his wrist that *seems* to have a wire coming off of it. I was wondering if this is some kind of microphone to amplify the sound of the instrument. Or is is just an old leather band?:) R i c k F u r n i v a l, P.E. furnival@sdi-pc.com - http://www.sdi-pc.com SDI - Sullivan, Donahoe & Ingalls, PC Engineers, Land Planners & Surveyors Phone: 540-898-5878 FAX: 540-898-3390 --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: LukeLinus Subject: Royal Albert Hall Question Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Is it possible that Sting and Steve Winwood joined EC during a show at RAH in 1987 (might be on 1/8)? regards Peter K/ Germany eMail only to: joecool@bigfoot.de __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thats why I am looking for this show on first gen. video (DVD or NTSC or PAL) SP speed, or CDR. Lots to trade, no burner, but DAT. B&P outside of US (anthrax) would be fastest. thanks Peter K/Germany eMail only to: joecool@bigfoot.de __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! "I thought the Telecaster had a great tone", he said, "but being solid it didn't feedback very well, so I couldn't get that sustained effect. The semi-acoustic is great for this. "I hate a thin, treble sound", he went on. "I always give myself plenty of bass and treble so there is some bite to my sound."< What a bizarre mishmosh. The interviewer and EC don't seem to be talking about the same thing. There's NO MORE SOLID a guitar than a Les Paul. Try playing one if you have a bad back, folks. The quote seems to refer to the ES335 that he began playing (infrequently) in his Cream days. I can't figure it out any other way. But it still doesn't make sense. In a Rolling Stone interview earlier this year, he said after he tours this year he wanted to make an album with the Impressions. I think this track is probably some of the type of songs we will hear on his next record? Any opinions? I know EC used mostly his red ES-335 and a Gibson Les Paul, but at what point did he switch from one to the other? What did he use during the encore numbers? DeltaNick --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: "Shinichiro" Subject: No Wonderful tonight in OSAKA Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-2022-jp" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit review from OSAKA 2nd night It does not mean bad show, his play was better than last show, in my humble opinion. He only deletes this song from setlist. No one complain this point, and I support his decision. So he does not to need to play these sort of pop song. As far as I know, he played this song in all concerts since 1979 except Blues tour. I believe he is tired of playing such pop song now. As you know some people still want play this song. But other people want to him to play deep hard core Blues rather than such sweet pop tune. It's Impossible to supply every body 's demand. He should only play what he wants in his way and do his best. And play more "Reptile" songs. Because of one of biggest purpose of this tour is to show his new phase to audience. This is what we want rather than same old pop show. On the other hand I was shocking, he didn't play "Over the Rainbow" in encore, even listed on updated setlist. I'm worrying about his health problem or something, like 4th night of RAH show$B!D!D(B. He scheduled so many shows in a road. I hope him to take care of himself. set list Key o the highway * Reptile** Got you on my mind* Tears In heaven* Layla* Bell bottom blues* Change the World* My father's eye River of tears Going down slow She's gone I want little girl Badge Hoochie choochie man Stormy Monday Cocaine Layla Sunshine of your love Best wishes Yours (c) Shinichiro Yoshino xroads@highway.ne.jp http://home2.highway.ne.jp/xroads/ End of slowhand Digest V01 Issue #280 --=_--SlowhandDigest-- **********************
