I am on one Allman Brothers Band list, where there was a spreading of music, under the theme of "Beat the Boot". Instead of people hoarding their bootlegs secretly away, we do what our mommy's taught us to do, share. I have Liberated a Dead Bootleg, "The Rainforest Benefit". I am also in posession of several shows, that were originally bootlegs, that I'd be glad to share. I don't know if it would be possible to coordinate something ongoing like this, but I'd be willing to try. Let's say every 2 weeks we have a small tree, maybe about 20 people, who would be willing to keep spreading the music. We can all share, and help each other. If clapton isn't getting any royalties, why should a bootlegger continue to make money on the "Intellectual Property" that legally belongs to someone else. I would be glad to admin it, the only problem with that is some people would see that as me trying to get as much as possible for me. I say, yes, I do want the music, but I also want others to have it, and a tree makes that possible. Anyone else want to be the Admin on this? If anyone is interested, and willing to help with seeds, let me know. I'd be glad to put one of my own shows up as a seed for the first round, 11/7/94 at the Fillmore. I have received more responses than the 5 I offered initially. Therefore, I have extended the eligibility pool to all those who responded by 6:00 p.m. EST, Monday, Feb. 18. The discs will be on their way this weekend. My only stipulation is that the recipients turn around and offer the music to other fellow Slowhanders. The following people will receive their copies by the end of the week. They are, Ben, Carey, Brian, Hubert, Ray & Dave W. I trust they will do their part in providing further copies. Thanks, David --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: "Byram, John" Subject: Double Trouble 1983? Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Does anybody know the exact date/place for the recording of "Double Trouble" included on the bootleg compilation "Further On Up the Crossroads"? Neither the booklet that comes with the CDs or the bootography is very specific: 13. "Double Trouble" (10:58) Recorded live in Europe in April or May 1983 This recording of "D.T." is particularly intriguing because it's uncharacteristically over the top for E.C. during that period. I would also be very interested in trading for this mystery show if there's a recording of the entire gig floating around. Thanks to all! Use EAC to extract ( it's free shareware) http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ then buy Click N Burn Pro.software. Office Depot $39. Haven't had a problem yet. I used to have lots with EZCD although it will work better using EAC for extraction.
