Content-type: text/plain; charset=Windows-1252 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT >> Does anyone know how many Grammies EC has now won? << Sometime last year, a similar question appeared in the American "Parade" magazine (the magazine that shows up in your driveway in the colored section of your Sunday newspaper). I'm not sure, but this award makes it something like 16 for Clapton. The record, around 31 if I remember correctly, was by some obscure musician who works behind the scenes on movie scores. However, Clapton, if I'm not mistaken, has been presented with more Grammy awards than most of the world's popular musicians. DeltaNick --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: "ivan" Subject: budokan offer Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit i tried to post yesterday but who knows what happened. i have the show and will send out a copy to the first 5 that respond with their name and address. i don't care where in the world, but remember that the farther you are from america, the longer it will take for the cd's to reach you. if you don't hear back from me, then you're not among the first 5. good luck! thanks for spreading the joy, ivan --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: "J.S. Kountz" Subject: Mp3's Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed For all of you who are starting to download Mp3's, please note them on your trading list as Mp3's. Some may not care about sound quality, but I do. I've read many argument's on both sides of the coin, "128 and 256 bit MP3 songs that sounded pretty good". They may to you. But there are some folks who the numbers of the bits, mean nothing and they couldn't tell the difference between the two, if their life depended on it. I just don't want to see a lot of crap in the trading pool Guess I'm just a bit cranky, I have just traded for some shows that I have been searching for - only to find out that "there were taped off cd, to tape and then converted back to cd. Of course the sound is either shitty or the music has no index points. 70 mins of music and to get to the last song at the end of the cd, you have to hold down the ff button to get to it. Big time drag! And these are shows are common to cd traders and not some rare stuff that got dumped off a cassette tape from a rare concert from the 70's. Please label your home brewed or doctored cds. Some may elect to trade for them or op for other sources of the same shows. -Steve --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: Richard Batty Subject: Budokan offer filled Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit Hi folks, I have promised the Budokan show to 5 people. Hopefully they can pass it along to other who still need it. Cheers, Rick --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: "Rick Furnival" Subject: RE: Grammy #? Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I think that's eight (8). One for Bad Love, five during the Unplugged wave, one for Change the World, and this one for Reptile. Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed I was reading in the guitarist icon magazine, that Pilgrim was originally recorded just with the four piece band, but this was abandoned and the ultimate horrible sounding produced album was released. Does anyone know about Pilgrim being recorded with just the four piece band? Is there a boot existing with this recording sessions? That's really cool ! Anyway, I'd like to know : what is exactly being distributed ? Is it the "Double Layla" boot on "EC IS HERE" label ? Is it "Groovy Pink Shirt" on MV label ? Has someone transfered the audio from a VHS tape to CDR ? Private production ?
