This is one of the most unbelievable posts I have ever seen. It sounds
like one of my ex GF's kids, and their sense of entitlment grossly
inflated. No celebrity of any kind, even Rush Limbaugh or Walter
Cronkite have their address published. People are entitled to a little
privacy, and they're entitled to less if they pursue a life course that
includes fame. I have known Bill Ward, original and again the drummer
for Black Sabbath, since about 1986. I've hardly seen him in the last 5
or 6 years, as a matter of fact I only saw him once, in a social
situation. Even when the guy was really down and out, as he was, first
I went to get a Black Sabbath record to see if his name or picture was
on it, and it was, I never asked if I could hang at his place. When I
saw him last we spoke about his heart attack, as he knew I am a RN, and
his buying a home in a local city. I didn't ask if I could send him a
christmas card or anything. Please don't ask me what he's like, I won't
discuss it.

I strongly disagree with people in general knowing where people like
Clapton or McCartney live. If you've got someting you'd like to get to
McCartney, write to his agent. Paul McCartney's address is very secret
I'm sure, and one of the reasons is he doesn't want or need people
telling him what he needs. He pays people to get what he wants or
needs. If you have some great video of Perkins, I'm sure there are
better ways to get it to him, than to discuss it on a Clapton list.

Earlier this week I wrote to an agent of a man who was the leader, so to
speak of one of my favorite bands in the early 70's. I saw this band
more than any band in theyre time. I had a couple of things to ask him,
and a few stories to share, as we are both from the same little villiage
in NY.
I emailed his agent, she forwarded the e-mail to him, he wrote back to
me, and said it was ok to record and trade and spread his music as long
as no one made any money. I promised that would be the way it was. I
then asked if he had any tapes from shows he did, back when he was kind
of big-time, and would he mind my bold request. At this time, a tape
should be on it's way to me, to transfer to CD, and hopefully more will
follow. All from writing to an agent one morning. One of my favorite
guitarists is very public, because he has a ranch where he has weekend
music seminars
usuallu about playing guitar. That is Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson
Airplane and Hot Tuna, along with Jack Cassidy. There's not many like
him. I bet you still can't get Chuck Berry's address, and he's not in
the spotlight anywhere near as much as McCartney or Clapton.

Keith

Whats the big deal about a guy wanting Eric's
address?Maybe he wants to mail him a rare tape, write a
nice letter to him, etc.Dont get me wrong fan obcession
scares me.Every Dec 8th I think about John Lennon,and
also the attempted murder of George Harrison.I would like
to give an ultra rare Carl Perkins video I filmed to Paul
McCartney for possible use in anyfuture tribute or
documentary.I doubt I will ever get that accomplished, but
I would like to contact Paul and so on. So please all you
self righteous, paranoid fans dont be so critical of this
guy wanting an address.I think you are over reacting!!!
Unless someone knows this person is a psychotic nut,get
off his back!!Leave things to Eric's security team and
lets trade tapes instead of criticizing someone.

Thanks to Brian Smith, I've now received this 3 CD set :-)

As promised, I'm happy to make it available FREE to the first five Oz
Slowhanders who email me with their contact details (on the understanding
they forward to five others etc). If you dont hear from
me you missed out :-(

As for the rest of the world, I'm willing to trade for one (well, any) of
the '90s blues
shows (Club Full of Blues etc). Email me for details if interested.

Regards

Carey

Hi friends,

I am writing to say that I have a new e-mail :

ecmk@ig.com.br

It's also provisory, I still have to find something decent. It's a free
service and I am aware it's not of great quality, but if I am to have bad
service it's better to have a free than a paid one.

Thanks and sorry for the off-topic

Pessoal,

Anotem meu novo e-mail :

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1; format=flowed

Hi All,
I was just listening to SBW with the Yardbirds and was looking in the
complete sessions from Marc Roberty.
I remember the thread about the omissions and mistakes that are in this book
and i remember too that a friend of him (i think it was Mal Barker) who told
that it was´t easy to make books like that and that the publishing houses
omits whatever they think is necessary.
That brought me to an idea: isn´t it possible to make an website of all
known recording sessions (live and studio) in the same format as above
mentioned book?
The advantage of such a system is that you can always update it when new
info emerge.
Maybe one could be the webmaster and that there are contributions from
slowhanders with info they have. Maybe you can divide it in different era´s
e.g. someone who knows alot of the yardbirds, Cream era (Deltanick?)would be
monitoring that era.
Maybe in that way we should get an error free zone of the complete recording
sessions from eric wich is updated alll the time.
I am not into webdesign so i don´t know if this is easy to realize, but it´s
just an idea of mine.
Any comments, ideas ?

Later Ron

Clapton's room? Be careful! He may be sick and tired, and don't forget
that there is a shotgun stashed behind his bedroom door.
He may have to [violence deleted], baby,
Then you won't bother him no more.

The So.Calif shows that I saw EC through the years were:
1983 Money and Cigs.tour Universal, Long Beach all inside in February
1985 Behind the Sun tour Universal 3 nights July 17-19 indoors 7-22 Costa
Mesa outdoors
1987 August tour Costa Mesa outside 4-13 LA Forum 4-14 inside
1988 Anniversary Box tour Irvine Meadows outside Sept. 23
1990 Journeyman tour LA Forum May 1st inside Costa Mesa 5-4 outside
1992 Unplugged tour Dodger Stadium 8-29,30 outside
1994 From the Cradle tour LA Forum 11-3 House of Blues 11-? inside
1998 Pilgrim tour Arrowhead Pond inside
2001 Reptile tour Staples 8-18 inside

Obviously the weather is a factor for some shows being inside. Also, it
depends on Eric's stage/lighting and sound equipment. On the Reptile tour
the whole stage, light and sound system went from venue to venue. If I'm not
mistaken Eric played indoors the entire Reptile tour. Finally, The costs of
the venue itself. Easier and more profitable to draw 40,000 people at higher
ticket prices for 2 nights inside Staple, then selling lawn seats outside at
Blockbuster Pavilion.

Thanks to Jane Newell I have a copy of the 3cd Farewell Box Set and would
like to offer it to the first 4 UK and Eire slowhanders who reply.

If you do not get a reply then I am sorry you will have missed out this
time, but I am sure that the lucky four will offer it to the list.

Cheers
