Also track times would be great I need to split the one long track into individual tracks. Content-type: text/plain Hi Ivan and all friends, Thanks for the nice post, you sent me Budokan VCD 2001 and these are defective; You've used TDK, I think it's not the problem, my guess is that you might have used vey high speed burning on VCD's, I've read VCD's can't be burned in very high speed, but I am really not sure about it at all; Cheers, Andre >Hey everyone, >It has come to my attention that several cd's/vcd's that I recently burned >have been bad. ............... _________________________________________________________ Oi! I get BBC-TV on my cable and can find no reference to it. Yet I can find where it says BBC will broadcast the concert on TV and Radio. I'm just not sure if they'll show it across the water. If anyone has info, please let us know. I'd love to tape this. Cheers from Adelaide, South Australia, Hubert --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: "Denis & Susan LeBlanc" Subject: re- RAH 1993 Blues Concerts Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Having been listening to some of the '93 all blues shows, I enjoyed reading about Scott's recollections. The most interesting thing about them to me is the fact that Clapton does so many songs he never recorded, and does a terrificly varied styles of blues justice. Looking back, I think it was a heckuva gutsy thing for him to literally do a blues crusade. Still, to me the FTC tour of late '94 to '95 is even more special. I've been blessed to hear several of the FTC shows. On each one, once he gets warmed up, say when Sinner's Prayer or Reconsider Baby make their appearance and he starts sweating out those majestic blues solos, man, that's as good as it gets. Whether it's the extended intros to Early In The Morning, or 5 Long Years, or Groaning Blues, or the Freddie King songs, the solos are different every time. You'd think he'd run out of ideas, but he doesn't fail. He was channeling all his emotions & energy on the guitar, to paraphrase an EC quote about his younger days. I don't know if it's hyperbole for me to claim that during the FTC tour Clapton pushed his greatest gift - playing blues guitar - to its greatest heights. It's a crying shame no official live album was ever released (tho I've managed quite well without one over the years thanks to many friends on this list). PAUL McCARTNEY and ERIC CLAPTON will perform a moving tribute to their BEATLES pal GEORGE HARRISON at next month's Jubilee gig. They will perform George's classic While My Guitar Gently Weeps from the Fab Four's White Album. Macca and Eric will also team up on Here Comes The Sun which George, who died from cancer last year, penned for Abbey Road.
