People with burners, usual thing, pass copies down the line to other Slowhanders. The first 3 people from the US and 1 from beyond to e-mail me postal addresses get them. If you are a winner I will respond to you. I will be gone for the next few days so don't expect an immediate reponse. I still have 2 slots open for the other Woking offer. -- Don't have the inclination to look back on any mistake, Like Cain, I now behold this chain of events that I must break. In the fury of the moment I can see the Master's hand In every leaf that trembles, in every grain of sand. ................Bob Dylan --=_--SlowhandDigest-- From: James Fox Subject: influences to creativity Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii My thanks goes to the person who posted the interview parts about the D & D sessions. I got to thinking about it after deleting the Digest - I remember reading some of that way back when. And I'm thinking of those influences now as I'm dealing with ways to channel creatity into music. 1970 doesn't seem so long ago. Adjustments might have been done differently with equipment and instruments to maybe improve the sound but you can't deny the powerful creativity behind the writing and playing. The blend of pacing with another great musician (Duane) and loss (Jimi), the influence of love and substance. Does there have to be that mix of torment and pleasure to create good blues? Probably not. Alot of musicians might have walked away from music after something like the Layla sessions, some might have even walked away from life itself. I'm glad Eric continued on the journey. - James F. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
